Who sets the price for my items?

As a professional member you set your own price for your items. Kindly notice that a fair price leads to smoother sales.


Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees.  All our fees are available on the website. They are also mentionned in the selling contract before your items are listed online.

How are my items sent to the buyer and who is responsible for delivery?

As professional member you are responsible of the delivery of your items. If you item is purchased, you'll have to pack it carefully and print the shipping label we send you by email. Then, you'll need to call UPS to schedule a collection and inform us that your item is "Ready to ship" directly from your account at "Shipment" section of the menu.

When will I receive payment?

WeArt will wire the funds to your banking account 30 days after the shipment date. Early shipment result in early payment.


Will WeArt disclose my personal details?

Your personal details are confidential and are not disclose to third parties.

Do I appear as as seller on the website?

Yes. As a profesional seller, your name appears on the item page preceded by the mention «Proposed and Guaranteed by [ your name]».

WeArt is a marketplace dedicated to professionals, having your name visible on the website makes you an affiliated and certified member, reassure and boost your sales amongst buyers. 


How can I sell items with WeArt?

To sell an item on WeArt, you first need to open an account and ask for an affiliation as a professional member.

Once it's done, you can sell your item through the online form available on your account «  Sell an item » in which we ask you to select your category, upload your pictures, describe precisely your item. 


How long does it take to list items?

WeArt is committed to list your items as soon as possible. We need to check the information and pictures you've send us. Please allow us at least 10 to 15 days to handle your request.


What is a selling contract & what does it contain?

The selling contract recognizes that you entrust us with the sale of your object and takes up the different conditions of sale as well as the applied fees. The selling contract is sent to you by email, you must sign it and return it to us.


What can I sell on WeArt?

WeArt is a marketplace dedicated to Art & Design, that includes different gamma of items ranging from painting, furniture, jewellry, ceramics, drawings, collectibles....To know if your items may fit to WeArt, kinldy browse our catalogue.


How much commission will I pay?

WeArt charges to professional member a commission fee of 10,18 % VAT. Incl. (9% VAT excl.) on the item price. When an item is purchased, we will wire you the amount of your item minus our commission and other fees that may applied. 


Is there a charge for WeArt 's photography service?

We ask professional members to provide good quality pictures for an online listing. If you are not able to take good pictures of your items, WeArt have a photography studio in Bruxelles to propose a photography service to its members runned by a professional photographer. 

This optional service is charged 15 € /item-lot.

Is there a charge for storage ?

WeArt proposes storage for professional members only for small and medium items.

We charge this optional service 2€/ items-lot/ month


Who sets the price for my items?

Private members' items are physically checked by our team of curators. They set the price and assess the authenticity before online listing.


How are my items sent to the buyer and who is responsible for shipping?

WeArt takes care of the entire process to delivery to the buyer. When your item is purchased, we carefully pack and ship it to the buyer with our partner UPS. Items can also be collected at our premises by appointment only. 


When will I receive payment?

WeArt will wire the funds to your banking account 30 days after the shipment or collection date 


If WeArt values my item, am I obliged to sell it?

No. The online request for expertise is without obligation on your part. Of course, we will be delighted you entrust us with the sale of your item. If you decide to sell with WeArt, then we put in place a deposit agreement and a sales mandate that commits you.

Do I appear as as seller on the website?

As a private member, WeArt runs the sale for you, therefore you do not appear as a seller on the shop


Is there a charge for WeArt's photography service?

Yes. We offer a professional photography service on our premises to all our members.

We propose high quality photographs with different shots for highlighting on the catalog.

This service is optional and charged 15 € / object - lot.


How can I sell items with WeArt?

To sell an item on the WeArt platform, you must have a user account, if it is not already registered, register now.

Then, you can submit a request a valuation using the online form available at the top of the home page of the site "Valuation". 

We are committed to reply as soon as possible within a maximum of 15 days.


What is a consignment agreement ?

The consignment agreement acknowledges that the object (s) has been deposited for the purpose of their valuation and potential sale.

The sales mandate acknowledges that you entrust us with the sale of your object and takes up the different conditions of sale as well as the applied charges.

These two documents are set up when you decide to sell your object 


How much commission will I pay?

WeArt charges a commission of 15 % VAT. Incl. (12,40 % VAT excl.) on the item price.

When an item is purchased, we deduct the commission from amount of the selling price. 


Is there a charge for storage ?

Storage service is free of charge for the first period of sale (3 months) for private members.

Beyond this period, we charge €2/item-lot/month (for small and medium size items.)


How to I buy on WeArt ?

To buy on WeArt, you first need to have an account. If you do not have one yet, register now.

WeArt proposes two purchase methods : Immediat purchase or make an offer. 

Immediat purchase means you purchase the item at the price displayed on the item page.

You also have the possibility to make an offer to the seller. Click on "Make an offer", enter the price you would pay and confirm.

Your price offer is directly send to the seller who has 7 days to accept it or refuse it.


Can other people see what I buy on WeArt ?

Buying an item on WeArt is confidential and secure. Other users cannot see what you buy. We also hide the price of the item when it’s purchased.


How are purchased items delivered and how much does it cost?

We have partnered with UPS for a smooth and easy delivery worldwide.

Our aim is to have delivery accomplished for parcels sent within the European Union in a period of 14 business days upon reception of the payment and 21 working days for delivery outside the European Union.

The delivery may be delayed due to independent or external factors (export or import license / administrative authorization / complicated or delicate packing etc).

Items that are stored at our premises in Brussels, can be directly collected for free.

Storage costs will be applied after one month’s time starting on the day of the payment. 

At step 2 of your purchase process it is shown whether the purchased item is stored at our Brussels location.

You will then be able to opt for personal pick up or transport via UPS.

Shipping costs are not included in the price displayed on the website.To overwiew shipping costs before purchasing an item, click on the link “Click here for shipping cost” below the price.  

Select your country and indicate your postal code. Shipping fees depend on the size and weight of the chosen article (packaging), shipping address and chosen UPS service.


Can I collect an item I have purchased in person?

Yes. Items that are stored at our premises in Brussels, can be directly collected for free.

At step 2 of your purchase process it is shown whether the purchased item is stored at our Brussels location.


How do I pay on WeArt ?

WeArt provides buyers a secure and confidential payment service.

Several payment options are available:

Bancontact/mistercash

Bancontact/mistercash allows you to pay instantly with your debit card. Our payment provider Ingenico secures your transactions and allows you to have encrypted and secured transactions with an advanced fraud prevention module.

PayPal

PayPal offers you an instant secure payment method. You will be redirected to the PayPal website.  If you already have a account, log in immediately, if you do not, pay as a guest or create a free account.

Wiretransfer

Wiretransfer is a safe way to buy online. You need to wire your payment directly to our bank account. The Wiretransfer option requires payment of the due amount within 3 days, after which your good can no longer be kept reserved for you. Once we have received the amount, your item will be shipped. 


How much commission will I pay?

WeArt charges a commission fees of 20% VAT excl. ( 24,2% VAT incl.) to the buyer. The commission is already included in the price displayed on the website.


What happens if I don't like an item I buy?

We want you to be totally satisfied with your purchase.

If you are unhappy, you have 14 days, starting from the day of delivery, to return an item. No penalty will be asked, neither the reason why you wish to return an item.

How to proceed?

And return the item to us, intact and in its initial packaging. 

Please note that the return transport fees will not be refunded. You may ship with your own carrier or use UPS services (a return label can be directly downloaded from your account). 


You received a damaged package ?

Keep your package on hold, take pictures of the damage and contact us immediately at info@weart.com.We will take care of your case very quickly.


How can I be certain an item is authentic ?

WeArt relies on a network of art dealers & independent experts who guarantee you authentic art of high quality.

The WeArt platform proposes a large choice of items within a wide gamma of categories that are sourced from, mainly, well-known art dealers from Belgium and France, and, to a lesser extent, from private collectors.

Our in-house committee selects with great care its affiliated art dealers and applies rigid, internal criteria so that our clients, when acquiring an item, are guaranteed of its authenticity and quality.

Each article on sale on WeArt is first checked, valued and appraised by the art dealers themselves. WeArt, as a rule, double checks the integrity of proposed articles with our team of independent experts who verify whether proposed articles conform to the origin, date, conservation status and estimated value as proposed by the art dealers.
